Wall Hung Toilets
If you are remodeling your home or talking with a contractor about building a new house, consider a wall hung toilet. It may fit perfectly in your new bathroom. A few advantage to selecting the wall hung models over the traditional ones are :
- They are not difficult to install. Be sure you read all instructions that accompany the toilet prior to beginning the installation.
- They work very well in areas with hard or soft water with very little risk of clogging.
- The ability to have the cistern concealed in the wall looks much cleaner than a traditional style toilet. This makes them super easy to clean under and around. It also allows you to install them in any convenient space near a water source.
- They work well with a pedestal sink or wall hung sink for a modern, contemporary looking bathroom.
- You can determine how high or low you want the toilet to be hung. They are great for handicapped people or senior citizens with mobility issues.
- They are much quieter. There is no flush lever, simply push a button that sits on a plate on the wall above the toilet.
- It makes your bathroom look and feel so much larger and is easier to care for.
- They are great in a half bath where you only have room for a sink and toilet. The wall hung one really opens up the space you have available.
They are usually a bit more expensive than the traditional models but much more economical than having to knock out a wall in your current bathroom if you want to add a Jacuzzi, large tub or hot tub. You can get everything you want in your bathroom with room to spare with the wall hung toilet. If you decide on purchasing one I would advise having a professional plumber come to your home and perform the installation.
