How Plastic Bird Spikes can Improve Your Sleep

You don’t need to live in the countryside to know that birds can be extremely annoying at the crack of dawn.  They just sit there chirping away right on the other side of your window.  Even people who live in cities or towns experience this problem.  Birds like pigeons and crows can drive you mad sometimes.  So what can you do to remedy this situation?  Arguably the easiest solution is to get yourself some plastic bird spikes.

You might be wondering what these are, since many people have never even heard of them.  Plastic bird spikes are long pieces of plastic that have poky plastic spikes sticking out of them all over.  They work so well because birds find it impossible to sit on them.  If you are losing sleep because of pesky birds, you really should do something about it.  It is easy to just forget about it, and leave it for another day, but installing bird spikes really only takes a few minutes of your time and can add hours to your night’s sleep.

The problem is that birds pretty much always wake up at the crack of dawn.  Depending on where you live, this may be 4:30 in the morning or a little bit later if you are lucky.  Most people don’t get enough sleep as it is, and the last thing they need is to get woken up by crazy pigeons or crows  yapping away on the other side of their windows.   Here is what you need to do to install these spikes:

First, use a tape measure to get an accurate measurement of how long an area you need to cover.  Bird spikes usually come in 10 foot lengths, which should be plenty to cover one window sill. Alternatively, you can get enough to cover the sill of every bedroom in the house, which will make your entire family happier!  Once you have the spikes, simply apply a bead of glue and press them down to dry.
