Halogen Heaters vs Fan Heaters

Most people have switched to electric heaters because of several reasons. One, they are less likely to cause poisonous gas emissions as most centralized heating can. Second they are easier to install and place on whichever room that you want, thus concentrating the heat only in a designated place. They also slash down your utility bills because you could heat up only those areas that you are actually using.

A lot of people though are confused on which type of electric heater to use as there are so many. They have more or less the same benefits of portability and cheaper costs. However, let us consider the advantages of using halogen heaters.

This type of heater emits heat from its halogen bulbs. From the minute you turn it on, it could make the room warm quickly because it transfers the heat unto surrounding furniture and not just the air. This system is perfect for those who inhibit skin allergies from the air heaters. Have you noticed that you feel itchy when you have neglected cleaning your heaters for a while? That’s because the air being circulated is no longer pure.

Although people should be warned that halogen heaters when placed near combustible materials like fabrics or paper could easily catch fire. So for safety measures, place them away from your curtains or bed sheets. A small cabinet or table is okay. Also keep them away from the pathway to avoid anyone stumbling unto it during the night.

It is better to purchase the newer models because they have improvised system to keep you safe. One automatically shuts down once it reaches a designated temperature to prevent it from over heating. You could also set its timer before you go to bed since you really do not need the heating over night.

Also most of these heaters automatically turn off when it is knocked off or falls down to prevent from burning any surface or causing fire.
