Designer Kitchens
When it is time to rebuild your kitchen to give it a designer look, there are many things to consider. Will you be doing a full renovation, or a more modest redesign?
It’s possible to spend tens of thousands of dollars hiring a professional to totally gut a kitchen, and replace cabinets, sinks and all major appliances. While this is guaranteed to give you breath taking results, for most people it is just not a practical approach.
The vast majority of people who want to improve the look of their kitchens will be limited to less comprehensives remodels. Depending upon your budget, the options are endless.
At the low end, a simple repainting of the kitchen can give it a new look. Many older kitchens have very dated paint or wallpaper. Replacing this look with a more modern color or style can lead to a great improvement in appearances.
With a little more money you can investigate replacing appliances. Dishwashers, refrigerators and ovens are all candidates for replacement. Perhaps removing your old appliances and replacing them with modern energy efficient stainless steel or black kitchen appliances appeals to you.
Many homeowners like to replace old linoleum and similar dated floor materials with more stylish alternatives. A popular option is ceramic tiles. An even classier choice might be marble or stone tiles to serve as your kitchen flooring. Replacing vinyl or linoleum flooring material can make a huge difference to your kitchen.
If the cabinets in your kitchen are small, or out of style, you may want to consider replacing those also. New kitchen cabinets can really enhance the eye appeal of your kitchen. Another cabinet related upgrade is your cabinet countertops. A high end kitchen will use granite or similar countertop materials.
As you can see, when it comes time to design your dream designer kitchen, your opportunities are boundless.
